Invisible braces: straight teeth with transparent aligners
Not everyone who wants straighter teeth wants to wear conspicuous fixed braces to achieve them. Many misalignments can be corrected discreetly with transparent aligners – removable, clear trays instead of fixed brackets and wires. We use the proven ClearCorrect system and plan and guide your treatment from the first examination through to the result right here in our practice.
The advantages of aligners
- Discreet: the trays are transparent and barely visible in everyday life.
- Comfortable to wear: the smooth material fits closely and irritates the oral mucosa far less than fixed braces.
- Removable: for eating, drinking and brushing your teeth, you simply take the aligners out – making oral hygiene easier.
- Custom-made: each tray is individually made for your teeth and moves them step by step into the planned position.
What happens during treatment
- Consultation and examination: first we look at your teeth and clarify whether aligner treatment is suitable for your situation.
- Digital planning: with a 3D scan of your teeth – entirely without traditional impressions – we create an individual treatment plan and can often show you the expected result in advance.
- Wearing the aligners: you receive a series of trays that you wear one after another for about two weeks each – ideally 20 to 22 hours a day.
- Check-up appointments: at regular intervals we review your progress and coordinate the next steps.
Who are aligners suitable for?
Aligners work well for mild to moderate misalignments, such as slightly shifted or rotated front teeth or small gaps. For more severe misalignments or complex jaw problems, a different treatment may sometimes be more appropriate. We discuss openly with you what best suits your case – if aligners are not the right solution, we tell you honestly and refer you to an orthodontic colleague if needed.
Our focus is on aligner treatment for teenagers and adults. We do not offer classic fixed braces.
